Duties of Our Patient Caretakers
Our staff is trained to handle the daily routine of patients to ensure hygiene and comfort:
- Personal Hygiene: Sponging, bathing, diaper changing, and grooming.
- Mobility Assistance: Helping the patient walk, use the wheelchair, or change positions in bed to prevent bedsores.
- Medication Management: Administering medicines on time as per doctor's prescription.
- Vitals Monitoring: Checking Blood Pressure, Sugar levels, and Pulse (using digital devices).
- Feeding: Assisting with eating or tube feeding (Ryles tube) if qualified.
- Companionship: Being an emotional support and ensuring the patient never feels lonely.
Service is available across Mumbai and surrounding suburbs. We provide both 12-hour and 24-hour live-in shifts.

Q. What is the difference between a Caretaker and a Nurse?
A Caretaker/Attendant assists with daily living activities (hygiene, feeding, mobility) and basic monitoring. A Qualified Nurse is required for invasive procedures like injections, IV fluids, or complex wound dressing.
Q. Do you provide male caretakers for male patients?
Yes. We strongly recommend Male Caretakers (Ward Boys) for male patients, especially if heavy lifting is required for mobility. Female caretakers (Ayahs) are available for female patients.
Q. Can the caretaker handle bedsores?
Yes, our caretakers are trained to change the patient’s position every 2 hours and apply ointments/powders to prevent or manage bedsores effectively.
Q. Will the caretaker do household work?
No. A Patient Caretaker is dedicated solely to the patient’s needs. For the safety of the patient, they do not engage in general household cleaning or cooking for the family.
Q. What if the patient needs to go to the hospital?
The caretaker will accompany the patient to the hospital and assist the family during the admission process or doctor visits.
